First, we need to check that your teeth are suitable for straightening with Invisalign. We’ll conduct a full checkup, show you how your teeth will look and prepare a bespoke treatment plan. A virtual 3D image known as your ‘clin check’ is then generated. This shows you the movement of your teeth from the current position to the desired final position. Once you are happy with the 3D clin check, , we will ask for aligners to be created, designed for your teeth and your teeth alone
- Wear your retainers
Wear your first set of custom-made aligners for one to two weeks before moving to the next set. Unlike with other teeth straightening options, you can remove your aligners before meals, so there’s no long list of foods you need to avoid.

You’ll see your dentist in Barnsley every 6 to 8 weeks to keep on top of your progress, make any necessary adjustments and make sure you’re happy with your aligners.

How Long Does Invisalign Take?
The length of your treatment will depend on the severity of your case; we will be able to give you an accurate estimate when you visit us for your consultation. On average, Invisalign treatment takes around 12 months for adults.
How Does It Work ?
Based on the diagnosis , a series of aligners are individually made in a laboratory using advanced computer imaging technology. You wear each numbered aligner for 10-14 days before changing to the next one, until your teeth are straight. You will be seen regularly during this time
